Located at 5060 Old Maysville Road in Mount Sterling, Judy Tree Farm is a locally owned Kentucky Christmas tree farm and a member of the Kentucky Christmas Tree Association.
Our goal is pretty simple: grow fresh Christmas trees for families in our region and create a place where getting your Christmas tree becomes part of the Christmas experience.
We began planting Christmas trees in the spring of 2021. Since then, thousands of hours have gone into planting, mowing, trimming, shaping, fertilizing, and caring for the trees as they grow.
A Christmas tree doesn't happen overnight. It can take around seven years to grow a tree to the 7 to 8-foot range, which makes finally watching a family walk through the field and choose one pretty special for us, too.
Cut Your Own Kentucky-Grown Christmas Tree
For many families, this is the experience they're looking for.
Instead of choosing a tree that's already been cut, you get to head out into the field and search for your tree.
Tall or short. Full or skinny. Perfectly shaped or one with a little character.
Once you find it, you can cut it down and take it home to decorate with your family.

We work to get our pre-cut trees fresh and keep them in water at the farm to help maintain their freshness until you take one home.

Before leaving home, measure the height and width of the space where your tree will go—and don't forget to account for the height of your tree stand and tree topper. Wear shoes or boots that you don't mind getting muddy, and dress for the weather since you'll be spending time outdoors.
It's also a good idea to check the farm's current hours, tree availability, payment options, and whether reservations are required. Tree inventory can change quickly, especially on busy weekends after Thanksgiving.
Most importantly, don't rush it.
